Vancouver Island

Do any of you guys have experience hunting bear on Vancouver Island B.C. ? I would appreciate getting some advise on tags, Licences and other details. Maybe even a story.
Thanks

I grew up on Vancouver Island. There are lots of bears and some real brutes. The north half of the Island is usually a better bet, but they are truely everywhere. Hunting is all spot and stalk and often involves driving from clear cut to clear cut to glass for bears. As far as prices go for tags I couldn't tell you, but if you are a non-resident you will have to go with a guide/outfitter unless you have someone to host you.
