My 2013 black bear

Shot this guy with my Rbros 338 Lapua mag with a 300 grain MK over top of a 100 grain load of 876.
It was a 230 yard down hill raking shot that took him behind the ribs on his left side and stopped in the ribs under his right shoulder. Missed all the guts and took out lungs and the top of his heart on the way in.
Ron his holding up one of his back straps.
Great eating as he was feeding on berries.

Good deal! Good looking rifle. What state are you hunting. Berry fed bears are better than most give credit for.

Sweet.

Some good shooting. Congrats. That's alot better than a fish eater.

Congrats on a nice bear!
I only take high country bears now... they just taste too good eating those berries!
