Hey Tikkamike, questions about the 375 RUM
Hey Mike,
Have you heard that Sierra came out with a 350 MK for the 375? That should be a heckuva long range bullet. What velocities are you getting out of that cannon and what is your load? I have a 375 H&H. Have not killed anything with it yet but it is very accurate with the 260 Accubonds. The other day I got 3100 fps with the Speer 235 and the new Hodgdon 223 powder.
I think I will carry my 375 tomorrow bear hunting. Still have my WY tag. Would like to call & chat about your rifle if you would'nt mind. Let me know.
Thanks, Kirk

Kirk,
Yeah I have heard about the 350 smk but as far as I know its a special run and they are hard to come by. I called them about a month ago and ask about the 350 and they said there were no plans to make them a regular production item. Cutting edge does make some great looking high bc bullets in 375 though. I shoot the 270 TSX just a little over 3100 with a 26" tube. 98.5 Gr of IMR 4831 Its my second 375 and I am loving it. feel free to give me a call 307-250-7478
Mike

That is a stud of a bear, Tikkamike, way to go! Did your exit hole look like the TSX expanded well?

I think the bullet is in the middle of the mountain somewhere... (maybe Outlaw 6.0 will find it on his side) but it did exit about the size of my thumb.

Funny you mention that. I was raking through the dirt trying to find my bullets last time I was at my site. No luck. Sure would be a cool find though.
