Wifes First Elk
Well, in fact, her first year hunting and her first kill. It was windy as the dickens but we trudged in and found a heard grazing. We stalked in close as we could. I pushed the snow back so she could shoot prone. Ranged two cows at 415 yards. Dialed the NXS up and she was set. She sent a 210 Berger from my 300 Win and sealed the deal.
Here is the happy hunter with her first.

Re: Wifes First Elk
Glad you two were able to get out.
First hunt? Doesn't appear that it will be her last.
I like that rifle. What stock is that? Lemme guess it's a Manners?

Re: Wifes First Elk
Thanks guys!
Roy, that is a McMillan .. The Lazzaroni thunb hole series. Very very light stock with a high cheek piece. I love it on a hunting / carry rifle.
