Ethan Parke........roped the deer in 1953. Put tags in his ears turned him loose then shot him in 1955. Always liked this pic
The story was told to me by his wife who owned the little motel we stayed at on a deer hunt in Malta Idaho about 17 years ago...... Youll never see that again. Just a cool pic of Idaho deer huntin history

    Re: Finally My First Elk!

    Finally the pics. Warning graphic!!

From shooting location, she was just above where the tree top splits in the middle of the pic, sorry for bad quality.

She had a huge head!! Cant really tell in the pic.

    The top of her lungs

Entrance into rear part of her shoulder.

    Exit through hide.

    Exit with hide removed

Exit with shoulder removed, between shoulder and ribcage.

My favorite pic, the carnage through ribcage, entrance on left, exit on right, entered the 4th rib back, exited and broke 5th rib back.

My second favorite pic, her deformed hoof, i will get a pic of her leg tomorrow, along with my autopsy report once i cut it open, should be interesting .
