Nevada Antelope 2013

Took him on the 3rd day of the hunt in unit 32. He'd been feeding on alfalfa so should be good eating! I would have liked to stay longer to seek out one of the bigger bucks, but had to get my son back for school.
The smoke was pretty bad from all the fires. I think most of what we were getting was from the big fire near Yosemite.

Re: Nevada Antelope 2013

Congrats on your speed goat hunt. I filled my Nevada antelope tag on Saturday,August 31. The antelope were skittish as all get out. The Leica rangefinder said my goat was at 325yds. One shot, one dead antelope.

Thanks. I was having trouble with the scope on my rifle, missed two earlier shots on different animals, so I used my buddies 30-06 to take this one.
I was able to get pretty close, about 150 yards. Winds were light & variable.
