Good readin' and a nice buck too.

Diggin' the camo... reminds me of my dad's, "brush-popper" all the way!

Thanks!

I dropped the noggin off with a mammal stuffer this morning. I'm going to do a European mount with this feller.

Awesome story and buck, mine measured 13", but his cutters were really high and he has a ton of mass, I didn't think unit 23 had big bucks either. We haven't scored it yet though, I am going to try to do it this weekend.

I was wonderin about the "Redneck Casual" LOL.

No entry/exit pics?

Not a ton of mass here but a dern nice one. I don't really intend to score mine, who knows, maybe i'll get a wild hair.

I'll tell you one thing about terminal ballistics this round. It broke every rib on the entry side; I kid you not. It looked like he was hit by a truck, i've never seen that before. Jellied the lungs....

Re: 6.5 WSM Whacks Another One

I know the feeling when you let one go without hearing protection.
Last season, I got all caught up in the excitement of shooting my first deer with a pistol.

Details:
Magnum Research Lone Eagle 14.5" with radial break
243 winchester shooting hornady 100 grainer

I pulled the trigger and my immediate thought wasn't oh did I hit that buck. It was OH S%*T! This is going to hurt! After about a day the ringing had finally gone down, but when I got home talking to my family everything was muffled. I now own the electronic ear plugs sold on this site.

Congratulations on a nice buck and sweet rifle.
