Not being cynical at all and I didn't bring the thread back up and attack someone. He did!!! I have my opinion on the subject, told him to do whatever he wanted, but I'd wager a guess that I'm with 99.9% of hunters that think the head shot at any distance is just what I stated. If that wasn't the case, there wouldn't just be two people on this thread that are saying I'm wrong.

Go ahead and back him up all you want because to the contrary of what you just stated, you appear to be the only one on the site that is doing something that is downright stupid at any distance besides him or a lot of others would be in your corner, LOL! Now everyone knows there are two people on here that are detrimental to the LR sport and neither one is me!!! "Topgun just say your peace in a respectable manner then STFU." If that one sentence ain't calling the kettle black! Take a hike and do whatever you feel like, but don't come out on a site and make an azz of yourself like you just did and then really back it up with a couple stupid comments ike you just did with the last several sentences of your post, LOL! To do so isn't going to get you any points with me or anyone else on here!
Your face is all red and your arteries are about to pop! You, I'm sure, aren't aware of why this site got started. People on other sites claiming that long range shooting was "UNETHICAL" and down right stupid. Jackasses like you trying to impose your limitation on the rest! So guess what STFu! Since you have decided to impose your ethics on us I will impose mine on you. If you can't make a 300 yrd head shot you are not up to the task of hunting sell your guns and take up minature golf 'cuz you are a threat to wildlife everywhere. It's just down right irresponsible to go out hunting without preparing youself and trying to be on top of your game. You my friend are neither hunter nor a shooter! Just for info I don't care about scoring point with anyone.

I'll stick with my statement of each individual hunter chooses what is right with him and use his OWN ethics to choose. Those douche bags that oppose, well they just don't have a say.

To the contrary, my blood pressure is fine and so is my shooting unless you didn't look at the entire thread! To post about what you think I can't do in the field because of poor preparation is also pure BS! You do whatever you want, but don't tell those on this thread that you represent more than about 0.1% of hunters at most that are doing what you espouse because it's flat out irresponsible and unethical. All but one other person on this thread is not on your side, so don't just come back at me as the bad guy here! I made the statement a long time ago that the thread should die and you yahoos have kept bringing the subject up, not me, LOL!!! I WILL REPEAT AGAIN--- SHOOTING A TARGET THAT DOESN'T MOVE IS ONE THING COMPARED TO A BRAIN SHOT THAT IS AT MOST A 4"x4" AREA ON SOMETHING THAT CAN MOVE BEFORE THE BULLET GETS THERE!!! It certainly shouldn't take a rocket scientist to understand that the chance for a miserable outcome for the animal is enhanced 100 fold on that little target compared to the large chest shot into the vitals PS: This website also isn't entitled "Longrange headhunting" and it's people like you that cause the ethical LR hunters grief!!!

Everyone I know will take a head shot if the opportunity presents, I've shot a lot of deer in the melon and I've honestly never lost one or even had one take a second shot but I have had to shoot animal twice or track them down when a body shot went wrong. Head shooting a deer at a couple hundred yards is no different than body shooting one at 1200 yards IMO.

So which is it now, post #28 where you stated you would only take a close head shot or now this post where you're talking a couple hundred yards or are you saying you consider 200 yards a close shot? If it's the latter I would submit that the majority of hunters do not consider 200 yards a close shot! Anyway, I'm done with this thread and you all do what you like as debates like this are a no win situation when discussing things where people think they are infallible!!!
