2008 Antelope Buck..The Edge Strikes Again

Got my best Antelope to date yesterday morning.
Hunted hard Friday-Sunday and finally made a successful stalk on this stud.
Was stalking in on a different group when this bunch started feeding towards me at 420 yards.
Ranged the buck at 418 yards and when he turned broadside, I nailed him with a 300gr SMK.
This Long Range stuff sure is addicting
I'm thinking of getting a shoulder mount on this fella.
He's 15 3/8" long and scores 72 4/8"

The guns on the other side of the gut pile
He didn't argue much with the 300 gr SMK.
The bullet is certainly over kill for a critter this size, BUT with the nearly constant winds here in Montana along with the shot distance required to harvest these animals, it's tough to beat. Plus I don't eat ribs

Nice antelope, last day of the season too! Good job! We still need to get together and go out long range shooting sometime, maybe after hunting season.
Over 15" would be a great antelope mount!

Really nice buck Gamadog, beats mine by almost 1 1/2", and nice prongs too, definitely a mounter. Just one question, why did ya wait til the end of the season?
