I bought a T3 Lite for my son as his first deer rifle ( he's got a few years to go ) in .243. I put a Burris Fullfield 3x9x40 Ball. Plx. on it. It is such a sweet shooting rifle that I now have one of my own in .243 w/ Leupy 4.5x14x40 vh. ret. 30mm tube. It's a great carry gun for deer. I shoot better groups at 200 yds than most shoot at 100. No bs. I am not crazy about the stock; but for an inexpensive rifle it's hard to beat.

Is the composit stock realy OK it's just I don't like the idea of minding a timber stock out in the field.
And also any comments on the shorter barrel version.
I think I will get a Tikka T3, the best price I can get a T3 lite stainless is €1100, about $1400. Ireland is an expensive palce to buy rifles.
Have the T3 in stainless in a 06 shoots good and a heavy barrel 223
took the 223 to gunsmith and trimed down the barrel lost weight still 24 inch
barrel.........

The T3 Lite is a nice gun. I have on in .243 and I love it. I liked it so much I bought a second one just like it. Its shoots very well. The synthetic stock is just fine. I would like to have one that has a higher quality fell to it but the bottom line is the gun shoot very well with it right out of the box. My hats off to Tikka. They make a good gun.
