In my opinion That a negative there ghost rider..

For me personally bare minimum of 1500 ft/lb on elk and 1200 ft/lb on deer. Then again I don't like chasing wounded critters. Specially when they have over a 1/2 mile head start on me.

Use a heavier bullet in your 300wm you will be way better off with your long range shots.

    sounds good, i am in the middle of load development so i will try the heavier bullets and see what the gun likes. i like the slightly flatter trajectory or the 168 gr but my night force has lots of adjustment even with standard Talley rings. thanks for the quick response lets me know where i need to be

    The Berger 210gr. pills should work great for ya. Start with 74gr of H1000 and work up. I like starting .010-.015" out of the lands, some people start .005-.010" inside the lands.

    Anyways this should be a good set up for you.

    good advise, thanks again i will give it a try if i can find that powder up here in alberta, canada. components can get scarce in these parts
