roe buck shot at 336m

Yesterday I have gone in a place where I have seen a nice roe buck and immediately when I came there, he was standing at 300m. I have put all my stuff on the ground and made measured the distance and all the needed data, then the roe buck started walking and when I was able to place the shot he was at 336m. the calc for my .223 69gr SMKs(910m/s) was 5,4moa, so I dialled 5,5moa and send the bullet. The buck fell down immediately, which is the most important thing to me. I am planning to get a camera for filming long range shots, but for now al you can se are photos... you can see the roe buck laying through the scope 1mil up and 3 mils right from centre...

Thanks SnT!

It is a Blaser r93 with GRS stock with match trigger from bix n'Andy! I really like this gun! It is quite different from others, it has a straight pull bolt and you can change a barrel in 2'. The bolt head is cloesin in the barrel and the sope is mounted directly on the barrel. I have shot a lot of blasers and I havent seen one that would not shoot under an inch straight out of the box. I suppose that this is because of the system...

Re: roe buck shot at 336m

I know you said the deer fell on impact but I'm curious about the performance of the little 69gr matchking bullet. In other words, what kind of damage? Hard to tell on my phone, is that the entrance hole right in the pocket behind the front shoulder. I have seen what a 77gr matchking will do on flesh at close range from the short barreled M4 and long barreled A4. Looks like roe deer are about the size of a large coyote, what I would probably shoot with it if they shoot worth a flip from my rifle.
