Oregon Snake River advice needed

I have enough points to draw for the Snake River or Eagle Cap Wilderness for deer this year and was wondering if anybody has any experiences or suggestions they wish to share. I have horses or am not opposed to a drop camp. I will have enough points for elk next year and thought that this might be a time to hunt deer and scout for elk for next season. Thanks. Tom

I live and hunt the same country (Hells Canyon Wilderness) on the Idaho side and if the Oregon side is similar it would be worth your time. I have glassed across the river looking at that country and one thing for sure it's big. Gotta be some good heads there.
