Barn wood European mount display board
After doing some thinking, I finally decided how I wanted to display a couple deer heads I needed to do a European mount with. I had some old barn wood, so I fashioned up a neat display board.
Best part is, my wife liked it enough, it's in the living room!
Let me know what you guys think!

It turned out nice. Did you do the skulls (using beetles) or had it done?

European mounts are my fave. Classic looks, DIY, and no heads jutting outta the wall. Very nice job.

I simply boiled the head in a big turkey fryer, then hit it with a power washer. After 3 cycles of boiling for an hour, then power washer, it was 100% clean. I let them soak in a big bowl of 3% hydrogen peroxide for 2 days, then they were done.

Spraying with Kilz in white works well too. Gives it that snow white look without the sheen.
