The man said it's a Remington so we all know the barrel is touching the stock. Take that little hump in the stock out of the barrel channel first. Second, stop cleaning so much as previously mentioned. Third, switch ammo - about 6 out of 10 stock Remingtons will shoot decent, that's about average accros the board for factory rifles. I personally would never consider shooting a rifle for group until it's been bedded, a simple job you can do yourself.

My R700 .270 doesnt shoot worth a flip when its clean. i have to get about 25-30rds thru it after a cleaning to get the groups back where they were.
Ive been shooting 140gr Bergers, the 130s wouldnt group near as good.
