Wapiti Ballot 2010

Rob and I drew the Mid Burn block for the second period. Anyone else put in and have any luck?

Also anyone been into the Mid Burn or know of anyone that could give us some info?

hi stu we have the white water second period my first ballot do you no of anyone that has been in the whitewater can you offer any advice to first timmer.

Sorry I can't help much, as this is our first time in Wapiti country. NZHunter issue 4 has a story about some guys hunting the whitewater. Rod and rifle might have written an article about the Whitewater, I was able to get a free PDF of an article about the mid burn from them, otherwise Simon Gibson might have some info for you s.gibson@irl.cri <s.gibson@irl.cri>.
Good luck for the hunt, might see at the briefing.

hi thanks stu ive read the article il'l contact simon im lucky to know roy sloan & carlos mcdonald. it might pay for u to contact them as well as they have great knowledge of wapiti blocks.
look forward to meeting you at the briefing - maybe catching up for a beer after our hunt.

That mid burn will be a nice cheap block to get to Stu.

Whitewater block is out of the heli exclusion zone so get dropped up high I would say. The fellas that had that block when we had the George did really poorly. Mind you they were lazy barstards and spent most days being flown out of the block back to the charter boat they hired

Steve, I only balloted for lakeside blocks because we are going to sea kayak into the block (I regularly find moths in my wallet).
