My 338 Lap Mag pics
I thought you guys might like to see pics of my Rem700 MLR in 338Lap Mag......from the very start in its standard trim, this rifle would not shoot (3inch+ groups on a good day). Finally I could not take it anymore and sent it off to get re-barrelled...and I couldn't be happier
It now wears the following: "30 Madco match grade S/S barrel, Wyatt floor plate and five shot mag, Bell & Carlson A5 stock, extended bolt handle, Nightforce 5.5-22x50 NSX, Cerakote action, mag, barrel, bolt has been treated with the Micro slick finish and to tame it down in a large muzzle break

Re: My 338 Lap Mag pics
Very outstanding rig!!
I was as much impressed with the background as with the rifle.
I figured the only thing needed was more paint.
The shed bark begged to be a camo pattern.
Would have done the metal but would have had to send a bill.

Hi royinidaho, I liked your camo job......you are right, that shed bark would make a great camo pattern. Maybe for my next one

Hi Danny, I am still working up a load for it, but from what I have seen so far it is going to be a shooter (the third group I shot while I was running in the barrel made a very nice little ragged hole.....I plan on having it sorted this sunday and I will post a picture of the results.
As for the barrel...it has a 1/10 twist, I plan on using the 300gn MK mostly

Hi, thanks for the comment........Madco do a very nice barrel. Mine is the match grade hand lapped stainless steel unit. Yours should be an awesome rig when finished, I'll bet you cant wait to get it. You are right, the long range shooting discipline is very addictive.......still, have to spend the money on something I guess Robert Holier from WA did the gun smithing for me and he did a great job.
