Well, NM had their draw today and I did not draw one single hunt although, I applied for everything!

I got lucky and drew a 21-A, first season rifle elk tag, Oct. 11-15. I have never drawn an elk tag in NM so I am pretty excited.

I drew a bull elk tag for IMO one of the best areas in NM, 16B. no deer or pronhorn, But I drew for an Oryx tag also.

16B is one of the best, Rifle or Bow?
Are you hunting with an outfitter or one your own.
I managed to draw a 16b archery tag 4 years in a row, did not kill one cause I passed on anything under 330, but that is THE BEST Elk hunting I have ever had.

amen on 16B! I have a rifle tag, and I am going with a few of my friends that drew tags as well.

wow 4 years in a row, thats good! did you go with an outfitter? there are alot of great bulls in there, its just getting to them in the wilderness. what part did you hunt? Spring Canyon? White Cliffs?
