edit--- Long stringy black ribbons

Hey Guys,
I am in the middle of giving my 30-06 Ackley a much needed cleaning after working up a great 168gr. TSX BT load. I am getting clumps of 1/4 " long x 1/64 " black strings appearing on my patches.

Does anyone knows what this material might be?

Thanks,
PM
