early season Colorado mule deer

Is the early season in Colorado good hunts. Im thinking of unit Early 14,16,161. Also thinking about unit 75,751 3rd season. I will be going with my 13 year old son. Are these areas to tough for a kid? We do a fair amount of backpacking in the summer.
Thanks
Jay

Re: early season Colorado mule deer

I've been looking at 3rd season hunts. I like the cooler temps and the fact that the bucks can be concentrated on winter range.
