If I mailed my Apps 3 days before deadline
(by the way, post marks don't count)
And someone at the post office dropped it and was not found untill 2 days after the deadline and then deliver it to the GF Dept 2 days after the deadline should I be allowed to go into the draw?
NO- it was late, Period.
So now tell me where you draw the line of when late is not late?

2day? 2 hours? 2 minutes? 2 seconds?
They are Very strict about the deadline, VERY STRICT

Everyone knows when the deadline is and if you don't make it in time your out.
The Dept closes at 5:00Pm but stays there the extra 2 hours so people can make it after work.

This has little to do with G&F
But allot to do with Cabelas waiting till the last minute.
I was in Email contact with Cabelas while this was going on and they knew they dropped the ball.
My suggestion to them was to do a weekly mailing of Apps instead of holding ALL of them till the last minute.
That way only a few last minute Apps would have been affected by this mishap.

If YOU really believe that, and I don't for a second do, then why would you have the rule:
Commission Rule R12-4-611

It makes no sense, and I might argue that is there fraudulently since NO deviation of the rules are to be allowed!

PLEASE, explain having the rule!

edge.

Over 500 people were disenfranchised, due to NO FAULT of their own!
If ever there was a reason to allow a bending of the rules this was it!
Perhaps add a fine for Cabalas to pay, but why punish the innocent?

I looked at posting the Rule but I thought it best just to post a Link for those that want to take the time to look at it.

What the rule really says is if someone does not get the answer they want from the Department they may take it a step up to the Commission.

I really am not sure what you are trying to say
The Department said NO.
Then it went to (lack of a better term) a higher court and they said No.

Maybe I will just add this for some information.
I am just guessing on this figure but the averaged out for our big game draw success is maybe 15%.
The hunt choices that Cabelas chose for the hunters probably had a less than 3% of being drawn for.
And as I stated before most of those hunters lost 1 lottery ticket.

That has nothing to do with the regulations
Rules are rules.
I am quite sure Cabelas will refund all Money to all the applicants
so just flush that one down the toilet.

As OFTEN in manufacturing, some times J.I.T. just doesnt work... and is not 'just in time'. Somehow I am unsympathetic. Cabela's should have mailed the tags earlier. Relying on UPS, Fedex, or DHL is stupid. Late is Late. People who are late for work always have an excuse. Late is Late. Perhaps Cabela's could sue for tags like the now infamous U.S.Outfitters (of NM) did a few yrs ago ( oh how quickly Bill Jordan divorced himself from them people). And I am decidedly NOT on the AZFGC.

Who gives a Rats Arse about Cabelas?

If you can't divorce the Hunters, whose only mistake was in seeking the advice of a professional, from the professional, then you are certainly not very forgiving people, IMO.

I do hope that you are honest enough in your life that you never ask a cop to cut you a break...cuz Rules are Rules and I am sure you would not want them bent for you....yea right!!
