What works to further silence the TAC 15 crossbow

pacrossbow..........I have a new TAC 15i that should be here within the next several weeks and will be ordering a new Timney Trigger this week to install when I receive my crossbow. Are you taking orders and when can I order the silencing kit from you? I'd like to do the entire installation of the trigger and silencing unit at the same time. How will you be set up to take payment and how soon will I be able to order?Wiill there be enough material to do several installs if it wears out? If not I'd plan to order two units initially if the double back tape doesn't tend to age without use. Don't know what adhesive/tape you used but I used to work for 3M and know they have some tremendous automotive type industrial double back tapes that tend to hold forever if applied to a clean and oil/residue free surface. You are definitely an innovator and this looks tremendous!! Thanks for your effort and results!

I have worked it out with pacrossbow such that the LRH Store will be offering the Silencing Kit within 2 weeks.

Great news Len. This is an item that every TAC owner should be interested in applying to their crossbow.

It makes sense since you're also carrying so many other parts for these crossbows.

Noticed that pacrossbow has a Jard trigger in his TAC 10i. Will the noise reduction installation be essentially the same for the Timney trigger?? Assume the answer is yes but please confirm.

I use a JARD but Jon did the testing on a Timney. We kept this quiet until he was able to test kit on his TAC 15i w/the Timney.

Hi NDPronghorn,

Paacrossbow has some pictures of my installation of the kit on a Timney Trigger. I only own one crossbow and it's a TAC15i that I purchased from Len Backus, new a couple of years ago.

I have never shot anything but the Timney Trigger because I'm the first person to ever put a Timney into a TAC15/15i, so i wrote the so called book on it. When I stated that Paacrossbow's Silencing Kit works well, I was specifically referring to its performance and installation on a Timney Trigger / TAC15i combination. That's what i own and therefore its the only platform I can test from.
