2008 MI Late Season Turkey

The MI late Turkey Season opened this morning and ended with a nice Tom.
He came into the decoy set up which consisted of a Primos B Mobile Strutting Tom and a couple of hen decoys.
I shot him with my 11-87 Super Mag 12 ga 3.5"" mag and 2 1/4 oz of Hevi Shot #5 at 25 yds.
The beard is 9.5" and the spurs are 1.5" long.

Nice bird JD. I went out Saturday for my first ever day of turkey hunting. Only saw one young jake. Also have absolutely no idea what I'm doing out there.

I put this Tom in my nephews lap at 14 yds on 5/17/08. He has a 10 1/2" beard and 7/8" spurs. His first bird and it makes the MI CBM book.
