Thanks Brother! I appreciate you sharing your experience.
LongRangers,
A little background on myself. I have been in business for almost 5 years, but only a few months fulltime. I started LO part time while working fulltime as a wildlife biologist for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. I worked for FWC over 10 years and was the Northeast Region Public Hunt Area biologist, where long shots are 300 yards LOL. So I have a unique but logical background that dovetailed into the gun business via selling riflescopes. By the way, if ya need advice on public hunting lands in Florida, or concerning any personnel in FWC, give me a shout.
LO has grown every year and it got to the point that I was working two fulltime jobs and my family time was suffering. So I made the decision to pursue my dream and run LO fulltime, and give up the cushy secure state job and all its benefits. I also uprooted my family from central Florida to northwest Montana. This has happened in the last three months, hopefully we can settle down the rest of the year LOL, but there is much work to do.
First and foremost, I am a gun person. I own, shoot, carry, hunt with and otherwise really enjoy my firearms. I have trained with Vern Harrison at Central Virginia Tactical, and will do so again this year. I've liked guns ever since I was a little kid and my youngest son is following in my footsteps. While I haven't had the time to compete this year, I plan on joining some local long range matches in the near future.
One of my faults is that I view the "non-gunowning" American male with utter disdain, and have little time for him. That attitude has gotten me in trouble before. However, I am good at learning from my mistakes. Business is business.
I got my first "break" in this business as a vendor for the online forum
Sniper's Paradise. A bunch of true gentlemen over there. Next came acceptance over at the very active
Sniper's Hide. I joined
Calguns.net a few months ago, and now here I am.
As a corporate philosophy, I borrow from Rotary International's slogan "Service Above Self". It's all about you and customer service, and finding you the
best value for your optics application.
We sell a variety of brands, and we cater to the long range crowd. To name a few, we sell
Leupold, Trijicon. Bushnell, Nikon, Vortex (my value favorite), Zeiss (except the imported German riflescopes), IOR Valdada, Optolyth, Kowa, Minox optics and Seekins Precision, Warne, Leupold, Burris and IOR rings and mounts and many other products and accessories. We sell riflescopes, binoculars, and spotting scopes. I have a huge inventory of
Butler Creek SunGuard ARDs for $10 delivered. We are always trying to find new and exciting products for our customers, and really enjoy helping others.
My job is to serve you and find the best scope for your needs. Our policy is openess, honesty, and candidness. I'm not afraid to call a spade a spade. Your satisfaction is paramount.
Well, that's all I have for now. Let me know if I can be of service.
My website is still being worked on, I do all the work myself and I don't sit down or still for long, but I am going to have to git 'er done soon.
