North East Cal says Hi

Just wanted to say hello from North East California high desert area (think pine trees and sagebrush). I'm not really new to this site, I've been "lurking" for quite a while, but decided to join after another forum I was part of ripped into a guy for asking a question that they didn't agree with.
I'm also new to longrange shooting, most of my shooting is at california ground squirrels out in farmers fields at ranges of 10-300 yrds (yes 10, they're not the brightest things). But a 300 yard shot at a squirrel that's 8 inches tall and 2 inches wide in 20 mph gusting winds isn't anything to sneeze at.
Thanks to all for the good advice and information that I've already picked up.
Thanks to the creators and moderators of this site for the open forum.

Welcome to LongRangeHunting. It's good that you're keeping the ground squirrel population down.
