New guy from MS

New guy here from philadelphia Mississippi. Not my first gun but it's my first scope.
I just bought a Remington 700 7mm rem mag and a konus M30 8.5x32x52.
Just for a low budget system for whitetail around 400yds and plinking around 800yds.

I have one question HOW DO YOU KEEP FROM HITTING YOUR HEAD? from the recoil
The only way I can be stable on the target is to be really loose and I hit my forehead everytime.
First time shooting it and I'm already bleeding !!!
