Hi all, new to the forum and new to long range shooting. I'm an avid hunter (and professional wildlife biologist) and have always been a shot gunner and bow kind of guy. Picked up my first rifle about 7 years agao, and beautiful original Remington 700 Mountain rifle (real wood) in the mighty 280 rem. I'm ashamed to admit now that I never thought of it as a long range rifle (short bbl, light weight
but plan on starting loading some long loads for it.
On a whim (not usually like me) I recently bought a 700 in 300 WSM. I'm not really a 30 cal fan, but it was a deal I could not pass up. I joined this forum to learn more about the round, get bullet and load info, and get some practice tips. Cheers!
