Hi from a previously quiet Australian

G'day all. I have been around this site for a while, but have preferred to just read the articles rather than contribute.
I am from West Oz, more particularly the South Western part of the state. Unlike some of the other Aussies from the Eastern states with their deer etc, I only have an opportunity to shoot foxes, the Western Grey kangaroo and the very odd rabbit.
As a farmer, these animals give us quite a bit of trouble. The kangaroos, tend to eat or trample crops, while the foxes prey on lambs, baby pigs (domestic) and the native wildlife. (Foxes are an introduced species, I believe from the UK).
Getting older doesn't matter much with shooting, it's the way you go about it that changes. The mad adrenalin rush gives way to that quiet sense of achievement and it must be that personal challenge that keeps us all going.
I have started the odd thread and have been absolutely delighted with the info that has turned up.
I reckon I may be around for a while yet !
