Hi,I am from the Tri-Cities area. Actually live in Finley east of Kennewick on the hill. I am a current Board member of the TCMSA and Richland Rod and Gun Club. Been a hunter and shooter all my life. Getting back into rifle hunting after being into handgun hunting several years. So my experience at long range shooting has been little. I just got a new Remington model 700xcr in 270wsm and hunted with it this last hunting season. Took a large mule deer do in Dec. at 298yds. one shot one kill. I was quite happy as I have taken game at closer ranges.

That's great, got any pics? Sounds like you must have a goot hunting area over there. I've wanted to hunt some dessert mullies (or at least some east side mullies) I spend all my time in the cascades.

We hunt on privite ground in wheat and CRP ground. Alot of deer. The only problem is to pick out which doe to take. Seen about 300 to 400 head. Also seen some nice bucks which we did not seen in general season. They all come out in late doe seaon. Here is some picks.

Somebody's got meat in the freezer. I can find bucks, but I'm tired of having to hike 8 miles through thick crap with no trails just to get where the hunting's good. I'd like to find an area in eastern-washingtion where there's some nice bucks. I've got no problem taking 500yd shots (I'd be willing to shoot further depending on conditions), so dessert country might be nice with a long reach. Thanks for posting those pics.

Take a road trip over to the Snake River area and start knocking on farmers doors. Ask permission. Aslo if they have any doe tags in the area put in for them. The doe season runs in Nov. and Dec. depending on area. The farmers will more thank likely let you hunt on their ground exspecailly harvesting does. Their winter wheat is comming up in good stride and they trampled it down.
