Hello from Mass

Hi, My name is Jack. I just found this BB while surfing. I purchased a new Savage 110FCP-338Lapua and know nothing about longe range shooting.. gonna learn though.. working on a scope, I think a Super Sniper 10-42 scope since I expect to shoot somewhere around 100-600 yds.. maybe further

Jack

Re: Hello from Mass

im shooting my 243 most of the time..i also have 308, 270 and 7mm rem big rifles and a hand full of shot guns and a few pistols ..

as far as long range shooting around here goes there isnt much, i have a nice safe spot on the power lines close by my house. but can only get out to 430yards because of the hills. there is a 600yard rang in or around New Bedford but i dont know the name or how much it is to shoot there. i belong to the a club in mashpee but its only 100 yards. and there is a fairly nice public range in barnstable off the service road. but that is only 100 yards also. the member ship for that range is 50 bucks for two years. a key for the gate can be picked up at the barnstable PD.

how far east is your vaca spot

Re: Hello from Mass

We're right off RT 6 in Eastam, next to Wellfleet. I think there is a gun range around there. i SAW SOMETHING ON nORTHEASTSHOOTERS.COM ABOUT A CLUB AND THEY WERE TALKING about shooting 50bmg's.... I'm fairly new to guns, 2.5 years.. but inherited a bunch of them. Went nuts buying hand guns, semi's, revolversAR's, now playing with some bigger cals. Just picked up a .458 Socom AR upper.. loving that, but was wanting a Savage 110BA after shooting one last summer. Settled on the 110 FCP, seemed more fitting for me.. until I can get a 50bmg... .. already got a couple of hand gun cannons, 500SW's...

Re: Hello from Mass

north east shooters huh...i will let you make your own opinion on them. they might be talking about bass river rod and gun or monument beach. bass river is a nice club with indoor pistol range. they do have a rifle also but im not sure how long it is.

falmouth rod and gun has a 200 yard rifle range, you must be a member of the falmouth skeet club or gun club to use it. or be a guest of a member,
