If you feed (With a electronic timer) only during daylight hours the hogs will schedule there visits
to the timer. Normally just after daylight and 30 min before sun set.

They will come during the day but are partial to near dark conditions.

Hogs come by there name legitimately (Pigs). And are opportunist. they will feed when it is available
unless they are pressured. they will not pass it up or wait if they think it will be gone.

The big boars will stake a feeder out and will wait for it to feed to keep other animals from getting it first. I have seen pigs run off deer before the feeder goes off (They only do it once and they end up on my table.

Deer and other animals will pick up the feed normally if the hogs don't get it.

In Texas we have a hog problem and they are in direct competition with deer and turkeys so we
have to change our feeding times to allow other game to eat the feed first, after the regular season
we change the feed times and hunt hogs. (On my place we shoot every hog we see deer season or not).

Set the morning feedings to first light, set the evening feeding to one hour before sunset, this gives other game a chance to eat it before dark. if the pigs know it is there they will come out before dark instead of risking the loss of easy food.

Stay late if other game doesn't pick it up and if they show up late you are ready.

Re: Wild Boar in day ??

no reason why you cant hunt them in the day.
I have only ever hunted wild pigs in the day(in NZ so maybe a little different)
early morning and late evening they will be feeding. in the day the will usually be bedded up in creek/stream system. you can just stalk through creek beds and find them.
Best time to hunt I find is after it has been raining all night and the ground is soft. they will all be out feeding in the morning.
