The thing that really worries me is which piper is he going to choose? Sometimes the guy reminds me of an angry teenage boy that just got told no. Is he gonna say ta hell with it and do what h e wants, or what he should?

Being competent with a given rifle is far more important than impressive ballistics and poor shootability. High velocity misses never put a steak in the freezer.

That he does. I'm sure he was raised with a sliber spoon in his mouth and never told no by anyone but thats all conjecture as well. I find it interesting and disturbing that the American people really know nothing about Barak Hussein Obama. He's like the Manchurian Candidate. He's a non entity that is President, an enigmna.

We know what his MO is. it's anti firearm. All his cohorts are anti-firearm but then again, removal of firearms from the citizens advances his socialist timeline even faster and eliminates most all the resistance to his end game.

It essence is two hits for the price of one. He gets rid of the looming menace, private ownership of firearms (under thye false guise of banning AR style weapons while Feinstein's bill that he actually embraces covers much more than AR's) and advances his agenda of Socialism. He's counting (I believe falsely) on public apathy to get this done and like I stated earlier, I really in my heart of hearts don't believe he is taking into account the gravity of the situation he and his cabal are cooking up for us, the sheeple.

I believe they are under the impression that as in the past, there will be some resistance but for the good of the whole (socialist agenda), people will subvert. I don't see that occuring this time. This is all about our basic rights and the Constitution that was in place and the law of the land, long before Barak Hussein Obama even existed.

This time is uniquely different than all the 'crisis' that have occured under his watch. It's unique for a number of reasons that I stated above and it's also unique that a well respected, heavily financed, high profile American Institution is actively backing the fight and thats why Obama has made the demise of the NRA a personal vendetta and why I certainly don't mind contributiing whatever I can afford to them.

This whole situation has some very unique and profound implications, no matter which way it pans out. I'm sure this will be talked about and revisited many times in the future by historians, much like we visit past history and empires long since fallen.

Make no mistake. The United States is an empire, Just like the Roman Empire was and the President of this empire is the most powerful person on the planet. Thats why millionares spend millions to get elected. It's all about power. Obama revels in it. He basks in the glow. He lives for that ultimate power and we are in his cross hairs. He can bring upon us, death and destruction with a mere stroke of his pen. Never forget that.

Thats why diplomacy and a tacitful approach to this is of utmost importance.

I'd suggest everyone that likes to read, go to the library and get a copy of the hardcover book 'No Easy Day' and read it and pay close attention to the last chapter. It's an insightful book. I enjoyed it immensely not only from being able to look at what a Navy Seal does but their political views as well.

The way it is
once the line is drawn in the sand, if the united states military fires on its own people the country is doomed.
If they refuse and foreign troops are sent in, there will be a fight, c'mon people 300 million guns in this country of 280 million people, it is the largest armed force in the world, do you think the government has the stones to take it to full blown civil war?

In a nutshell....YES.

However if you understand the parameters of a Civil War, this can't be (if it occurs( classified as a Civil War. Civil War is when 2 factions confront each other over what each faction considers non-negotiable reasons, example the North against the South over Lincoln's abolishment of slavery.

What this would be for all practical purposes is a Coop (Coo). Thats when the citizens rebel against the central government over a non-negotiable issue.

We aren't at that point yet, in fact, a long way from that point and you as a responsible firearm owner and citizen need to keep that in mind. There has been no government mandated confiscation of weapons nor has the government legislated anything anti-firearm (with the exception of New York Governor Cumo but he's an asshole anyway and he will not get re-elected I suspect. Cumo is grandstanding, beating his chest, just what we, as the opposition, don't want to do. Let Cumo look like the asshole he is)...

The NRA made a very profound statement in their abstaining from sponsoring the Harrisburg Firearms show, in part because the State of Pennsylvania and the City of Harrisburg requested that no AR style rifles were to be sold or exhibited at the show. When the NRA pulled it's sponsorship, the shows promoter canceled. The NRA was the largest supporter but the NRA, right now has a much larger obligation to it's members and that is to protect our Second Amendment rights. I, for one stand behind their decision.

Again, we are a long way from any legislation and it's common knowledge that both Republican and Democratic legislators oppose Feinstein's bill. Any sane person knows that her bill will do nothing to remove firearms from criminal hands. Criminals don't register guns, criminals don't buy guns. What changes under Feinsteins bill is criminals (and the government) know you are unarmed and you can't defend yourself or your family against criminal intent or an oppressive government.

in a nutshell, yes i do.
first off the vast majority will willingly or somewhat willingly turn them in when the time comes.
remember wako.
also remember randy weaver.
his wife was shot in the head while standing on her porch holding an infant.
did randy go to jail for his so called crime?
remember elean gonzales the 5 year old found alive in a tube off the florida keys. (i lived there at the time) he was the only survivor of a flotila including his mother who perished trying to reach freedom from communisum. he had
relatives in miami and he was taken there. but alas bill clinton not wanting to offend our good neibor castro sent the well armed brown shirts in the middle of the night.

im afraid the only chance we would have would be if our military leaders were
patriots first and soldiers second.

now as for the term moderate.
there are but two political mindsets.
one would be conservative minded or constitutional minded if you prefer.
the other is a pro government or liberal mindset.
a moderate is actualy a liberal without the balls to admitt it.
