No need to get testy. I was speaking specifically to the ARMED Million Man March, or any armed march for that matter. Just my viewpoint.
Since you asked..... My personal efforts which I have focused all my energy is how to take advantage of our most important asset which is our strength in numbers. I'm not a lobbyist, nor do I have any affiliation with the NRA other than being a member and strong contributor. I have used lobbyists with incredible success in my own unrelated business. I believe using lobbyists is by a huge margin, the most powerful weapon that we have. The NRA is the strongest and most feared lobbyist in the country. The politicians and far left are petrified of them. That why the left spends so much time attacking their credibility. There are 60 million gun owners in the country, yet only 4.3 million belong to the NRA. That is only 7%!!!!! My "plan" is that I am fucusing every ounce of energy I have to convince the 4.3 million members to find 20 million additional members using every way possible. Its a tall order though and I need help getting this word out, using every possible vehicle to reach gun owners that's out there. If each one of us could find 5 gun owners that aren't members and convince them to join, imagine the power and strength it would give us if the NRA had 5x the membership it currently has. It would have huge repercussions, self replicate, and most importantly be enduring. It's not the only productive action that we can take, but it's one that might be our best chance at keeping our 2nd Amendment alive. iMHO

Re: million armed man march

I'm proud of you guys.

I'm sure the patriots at Concord Bridge and Cambridge Square had the same questions, doubts, , trepidation, fear.... and conviction.

Be strong, we're right in this fight.

It's not about JUST the 1st, 2nd, or 14th ammendments. It's about the Bill of Rights, it's about the Constitution, it's about the oath of office every elected or appointed public official and military officer takes, it's about the roots of this country, it's about the future of our way of life and the freedoms Americans have fought and died for.

I for one will not be led by an individual who's self professed goal in life is the destruction of the American way of life, who has no respect for the American people, who is in the process of overthrowing the government from within.

This is the beginning, just as the patriots began back in the 1860s and 1870s. It won't easy, it will be an arduous undertaking, it might get dangerous. There will be others who will disagree with us vehemently because we are right, we stand between them and a socialist welfare state, and we are dedicated to preserving our way of life and defending the Constitution.

We will have to be every bit as smart, cunning, savy, and resourseful as they are. We must turn their strengths against them, which right now is the media. They must be discredited and their reporting shown to be biased at every chance. We on the other hand, must take every opportunity at gaining positive media attention, get our politicians on board to make appearances, give speeches, counter erroneous information coming from political and media sources. Above all else, we must be intelligent, informative, firm, single minded. We must prevent and not allow others among us to commit foolish acts or to bring discredit to the greater body. We must all work together.

It's not about me.... it's about we!

Today is the first step in a very long journey. Gird your loins, it's not going to be easy.

I'm very proud of you guys today! And I'm very proud of my wife!

Re: million armed man march

I am so glad I attended the Rally in Helena Montana. It was very good to hear some of the speakers and I did learn some things. It was a very peaceful crowd, probably not one of the biggest but good sized. I did a fast count of about 1/4 and came up with over 50. So my guess is 200 to 250 attended. One of the best points brought up was that the fight is not over. We need to draw the line and not give. There will be more rallies. I urge anyone to attend if you can!!! It is worth your time.

Re: million armed man march

I think a million man march wearing hunting clothes and back tags with no firearms would be enough, I'd take time off from work to do that. If someone could organize it, we could ask for a permit and do it if approved. It would be really impressive. National press coverage?! I'm sure we could make it an Historic peaceful demonstration I think all of us could look back upon with Pride someday. I feel they are trying to take that away from me. I'm a law abiding proud American citizen, least likely to misuse a firearm. Why are they making me feel like I'm the next criminal. I find that insulting.

Re: million armed man march

These are a couple of pictures that my wife took at the rally outside the capital building in Lincoln, NE. She said there was about 200-250 people there as well. I don't know that the whole thing was promoted as well as could have been...maybe next time.

Meanwhile I attended a gun show in Ogallala, NE today. I had several people thank me for the letters to the editor I have been sending, and I encouraged others to keep writing, spreading the word, and contacting their congressmen and women. I also became a lifetime member of the NRA today and was able to get several others to sign up as well. Grass roots is working guys. We all need to do as much as we can and keep going. When we get this put to bed for the next ten years we can continue the momentum to other areas of policy that we don't care for, but first and foremost we need to keep our 2nd Amendment live and well!

Re: million armed man march

I was in Helena today also and it was great to see Jeff and his Wife there. I got there a little early and a group of us were down on the corner of an intersection and we got a lot of waves, honks and thumbs up from passers by. Then we moved up to the Capitol steps for the main rally. There were a handful of of state representatives there which was good to see. The speakers there encouraged us to get involved and keep the pressure on our reps which I whole heartily agree with.

Here's a news clip... apparently I made the news... sort of... lol I am right behind the guy getting interviewed - Scott Benson
