So in reality the left wing is right wing and I am a leftist. I am very confused. This is the second time in my life that this has happened to me. When I was young, in the 80's, I used to identify my self as an environmentalist. I hunt, fish, and generally recreate in the wilderness. Until I figured out that the term environmentalist was hijacked by an ideology that is against free markets and capitalism. Generally against prosperity.
So I can only assume that I am not alone here. There are a whole bunch of us that no longer know what we are, ideologically speaking. So, Roll-Yur-Own, help me out here. How are we supposed to identify here? Perhaps you can tell us what you are, and how you keep it straight. Or are you one of those people that are sooo smart that you have no position on anything? Because really smart people are above taking sides on an issue. Do you just take the high road and look down at the stupid people who form opinions on what is right and wrong? Or do you just wait to see which side has the most people, and go that way?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Steve, I happen to agree with you that many don't know who they are ideologically. I'm an independent. I do take a side. But, I take a side on issues. I don't marry myself to a liberal or conservative mindset. Fact is I find most pol's full of you know what no matter what the party.
As for Hitler being left wing......
How many members of the aryian nation or the klan voted for Obama?
