Re: Cooper Supports Obama...

It is amazing how many smart people support the very philosophy that countered their rise to success. Some billionaires also support Obama, that is of course, after they amassed their wealth first. This comes to show that intelligence is a poor substitute for common sense.

Re: Cooper Supports Obama...

I sent them an email letting them know how upset I was with their decisions and any Cooper rifle I owned is now worth almost nothing for resale and has become a poor investment.

Has anyone checked the Cooper web site's response to this?

Re: Cooper Supports Obama...

I tried to send a e-mail and it was returned undeliverable. I assume they were covered up with e-mails. I have seen their response indicating the donation to Obama was to help him defeat Hillary. I also saw where they have now given to the Mcain cause.

I want comment on their loyalties or their wisdom. Nor will comment on other companies who get into their canoe, when they are up the creek. It will be real ineresting to read the Shooting Retailer, the NSSF Shot Show pubication and the NRAs response.

Re: Cooper Supports Obama...

It would appear that Cooper has taken a page from the typical liberal anti-gun strategy by removing their dealer list link from their web site as a preemptive response to the huge fall-out that is sure to follow. An apology by Cooper, at this point, will not cut it for this gun owner, as the harm of the money and propoganda value gifted to the Obama campaign can not be undone. "No more Coopers for me"! A great and heartfelt thanks to all firearm owners who support this action to force Cooper out of business, at this point a simple boycott will not be sufficient.

SNIP
According to the Federal Election Commision that does NOT appear to be true!

Mr. Cooper made MULTIPLE donations to the Obama campaign as evidenced here:

Contributions to Presidential Campaigns - Election Guide 2008 - The New York Times

Type in the zip code for Cooper Firearms location, and watch what pops up! Zip Code is 59870.

No such campaign contributions for McCain show up!!
