California Hunters Wake Up Call

I would like to know what how this lead ban got through without so much as a mention from our pro-hunting legislative groups like California Waterfowl Association...were they even aware of the proposed ban on lead for varmint and deer hunting, etc.? When dove hunting was threatened, everyone jumped on the band wagon and fought it...including Calif. Waterfowl Association. It is just another foot in the door for the anti-hunters. California hunters need to contact their congress members and groups like NRA, California Waterfowl Association, SCI, and the Calif. Fish & Game Commission. Tell them that hunting in California is being threatened and that means their pocketbooks and their jobs, too!
Hunters have the power! Just speak up!! If the hunters go away in California, so do the wildlife refuges and other wild areas because anti-hunters won't foot the bill for the upkeep and non-hunters certainly don't pay to use the refuges, etc. There will be no jobs for the people that work in those places because they won't have the income from hunters and truthfully, there will be no reason for those jobs to exist. The government can't afford the upkeep of the refuges and wildlife areas.

The lead-ban is in areas where the California Condor lives...which, it appears, is practically the entire state of California...just the perfect vehicle for anti-hunters! California is the perfect place to start! Wake up California hunters! Use your power!

Are you sure that the NRA and other groups did not post that this legislation was forthcoming? It seems that I saw it posted on several forums as much as a year ago. I haven't been that active on this forum, but I sent e-mails to a number of people and posted on other forums. I tried to keep people and relatives that are hunters in CA informed. It just seemed that no one was too concerned about it.

I appreiciate your fervor over this subject and suggest keeping up to date with NRA-ILA, if you haven't been.

Good luck out there.

Two solutions to one problem. If the CA tree hugers all vacate the state, the condors will have all of there natural habitat back and will likely thrive. Just take them all to the beach and tell them to swim west until they hit land.

If all the condors were dead, there would be nothing left to protect. Thus no reason for a lead ban.

Please don't suggest that all the California tree huggers leave the state. They need to stay in California.

Some of them may end up in my neighborhood!

California Hunters Wake-up Call

(I have a reply in my "first" posting, too...I apologize to posting twice...my fingers are faster than the eye...I have the same problem when I am duck hunting! )

NRA is trying to help but they need the help of the California hunters and hunter-friendly groups! CALIFORNIANS CALL YOUR STATE LEGISLATORS. Tell them to get their heads out of their arses. Non-Californians call your friends in California and tell them to call! My gawd, the lawmakers out here are WACKED in the head. They are hurting the companies who make bullets, companies who sell bullets, companies who make the machines who make the bullets...American companies! What a bunch of numbsculls! GOOD-BYE SWEET AMERICA!

California Hunters Wake-Up Call - RUMOR MILL

I heard a rumor that someone (must be the antis) out here in California WANTS the hunters to stop funding the Dept. of Calif. Fish & Game because they think hunting is cruel...and they want the CDFG property turned over to the Bureau of Land Management...

It's just a rumor...has anyone else heard this? I will check with my source (a good one, I believe) and will get back to you...the real troubling part is that I heard that there are powerful legislators and maybe even the Terminator who are behind this idea.

It is getting curiouser and curiouser...
