packing out

I suggest that the silhouette of the long range backpacker, with the elk antlers on his back, simply would not work here.Is that how you pack game heads in open country? This surprises me.

Re: packing out

Not sure where you're going with this ... how else would you pack elk antlers other than on your back?

You talking about a logo or image to represent a long-range specific backpack hunter?

Oh gotcha, so you're talking about the position on your back. I think packing antlers in the mountains is going to be a quick lesson in what works and what doesn't. Not gonna get far in thick country if the antlers are pointed the wrong direction and catch every little twig and bush.

Carrying a big set of antlers always makes me think how amazing those bulls are that do it so quietly through thick gamble oaks and dark timber.
