And that's a damn good reason.

He's got a photo of him with 340 pounds of steel plates loaded in his pack. That's about what you can pack, right???

Mine aren't and I bet I'm a helluva lot older than you. The trick is to get someone or something else to carry the big stuff........

Just the other day, my wife told me I might be going packing.... Wonder what she meant???

Back to the pack, I can't bring myself to buy a pair of Kennetrecs. Damn things are Itallian made (no offense Mr. Russo)....

Me TOO! That's why I have TC, Murphy, Ed, Chance, Abby, Whisky, Cinnabar, Gatito and Matty. They all make short work out of an elk.

You probably are older than me, the problem is... I'm always the guy that has to carry everyone else's stuff.

No offense taken at all.

The Kennetrecs will fit your feet like the Ferrari will fit your arse...

I can't afford a Ferrari. Maybe a Yugo. I'm sure they do. I bought a pair of Meindl's last year (German engineering like BMW). They fit fine but I cringed because they weren't made here.

Far as carring stuff, thats what pack animals are for......

Even a dog can wear panniers.

Re: My new Stone Glacier Pack just arrived.......

I've worn a pair of Meindl's on the last few sheep hunts, and they were kind to my dogs.. I like the stiff sole, as it tends to help while traversing the shale slides... at least while I was still on my feet..

I felt like a pack animal on the last few hunts

Can't wait for Randy to give us the skinny on the field test..
