My new Stone Glacier Pack just arrived.......

Stone Glacier Ultralight Backpacks Holy smokes! Just received my new Stone Glacier Approach pack yesterday-----man, I am impressed. Can hardly wait to use it in the Idaho high country. You have to like a very stable and functional pack that weighs 3.6 pounds but yet can carry a huge load.
And the owner, Kurt Raciot is a class act and he ACTUALLY answers all emails in a timely manner. They're spendy but as the saying goes----you get what you pay for and man, is that ever true.

My J34 weighs a little less than that empty.... No wonder my arse was dragging on the last sheep hunt.

Just when I think I have all the gear, someone helps me spend more money.

Like you NEED an excuse to spend money......
And I know what you mean about a lot of other packs---they weigh that much almost without anything in them. Seriously though, go to his website and check his products out. Kurt is a avid sheep hunter and he is the real deal. He's got a photo of him with 340 pounds of steel plates loaded in his pack. That's about what you can pack, right???

Thats a nice pack (went and looked at all the specs). Made in USA too. Thats novel in as much as E'stocks are made in the Orient...but marketed here. I may buy one just for that fact (made here)....
