My new Stone Glacier Pack just arrived.......

Stone Glacier Ultralight Backpacks Holy smokes! Just received my new Stone Glacier Approach pack yesterday-----man, I am impressed. Can hardly wait to use it in the Idaho high country. You have to like a very stable and functional pack that weighs 3.6 pounds but yet can carry a huge load.
And the owner, Kurt Raciot is a class act and he ACTUALLY answers all emails in a timely manner. They're spendy but as the saying goes----you get what you pay for and man, is that ever true.

YES, JOEL, YOU WILL. So, get this. With this pack, my spike out sleeping system (tent, pad and bag + pack) will be at less than 10 pounds.

My J34 weighs a little less than that empty.... No wonder my arse was dragging on the last sheep hunt.

Just when I think I have all the gear, someone helps me spend more money.

Like you NEED an excuse to spend money......
And I know what you mean about a lot of other packs---they weigh that much almost without anything in them. Seriously though, go to his website and check his products out. Kurt is a avid sheep hunter and he is the real deal. He's got a photo of him with 340 pounds of steel plates loaded in his pack. That's about what you can pack, right???

Thats a nice pack (went and looked at all the specs). Made in USA too. Thats novel in as much as E'stocks are made in the Orient...but marketed here. I may buy one just for that fact (made here)....
