Eberlestock J104 - Will a rifle with Nightforce NXS 56mm objective and bipod fit?

I am close to buying either this model or the GS05 Gunslinger which has a wider scabbard but less overall storage. I tried the J104 at a store today with one of my smaller rifles and smaller scope but with bipod. Fits ok, just slightly snug.

Len me and BJ picked up the eberlestock line about a year and a half ago cause we wanted to use them and we were worried about the same thing. i used both the J104 and and the gunslinger on my WY muley hunt last year. i could fit my 270AM with a harris bipod and NF 3.5-15x56mm and it would fit but it was snug. the gunslinger offered alot more scabbard space.

i have been more than happy with both packs.

If you aren't already aware of it, you might want to take a look at the J107 "tactical" model.

The tactical model uses solid cordura instead of mesh for the main compartment material, and you don't have the camo options, but otherwise the same pack as the hunting version, but with a wide scabbard.

I'm quite fond of mine. Seen below stuffed to 50lbs with my wife's old magazines for conditioning


Note: That big top part can be removed (/used as a fanny pack with the belt portion if you want) to cut down on the bulk of the main back.

I bought a J104 for Elk hunting this fall. My gun has a 30" barrel, with a harris bipod and a 56mm VXL. It fits great in the scabbord. Maybe a little snug, but it seems like that makes it a little more secure, it doesn't shift side to side while walking.

Back to the post I just received my J107M Dragonfly in the UNICAM and all I can say is wow, extremely nice. So to try it out I put my IDF M14 in the pack and it fits like a glove, that IDF M14 is a big mutha and the 107M swallows it up like Jenna Jameson

I bought the pack for my upcoming Desert Sheep hunt, I am going to load up and start humping it this week for conditioning. The pack fits me like a glove.

I also have the identical one posted above the J107M in coyote brown and the scabard fits anthing and it will hold more than you can carry and is tough as nails 4 trips with it and Mattj have you used yours yet Also it has a clip over the scabard and keeps everything contained and not moving it really nice well thought out
