No problem. Working for Uncle Sam has it's advantages sometimes - like having a desk job and lot's of time on my hands to learn the hunting regs here in Colorado!
Good luck with your hunt. The first time you hear a bull bugle will send chills down your spine. I've heard them a lot, but it still has the same effect on my every time. It's definitely not like tree hunting for whitetails back home in East Tennessee!
I don't know if you've ever killed an elk before, but you just don't realize how big they really are until you are standing over one getting ready to gut it!
I'm thinking about a backpack hunt this fall, 08. But I am old, fat, tired, grumpy, and out of shape. WIfe and I bought a mtn bikes so I am going to bike myself into submisson and lose a coupla #s.
Wanna go along? I need a pard. It'll probably OTC r.i.f.l.e. bull in a central Colo unit. Nothing too extreme, hike in a few miles, camp and kill, hike out a few miles. Somethin like that. Email or pm me if interested.
