Pair Of Old School Aces

Just finished turning the screws on these two personal builds. Decided to go "Old Skool" and use Remington actions for a change. The Walnut stocked rifle is a 6x47 Lapua that I built to compete in a few PRS matches, and the Bubinga rifle is a .243 AI that I built for for my father to shoot for an upcoming PD trip.

6x47 Lapua, .271" NK
26" Benchmark 8 tw
Modified Badger DBM/AI mag
Jewell
Black Walnut A-5L
SB 5x25 PM II

.243 AI .275" NK
26" Kreiger 7.5 tw
Modified Badger DBM/AI mag
Jewell
Bubinga A-5L
SB 5x25 PM II

Initial load development put both rifles under one inch at 300 yards.

Well, if those are "old school", maybe I should go back to school. Absolutely beautiful work---you always amaze me Joel.

Joel,
The rifles are truly works of art. The word craftsman is justly used.

Re: Pair Of Old School Aces

Great work as usual! I personally would tweak those loads and get rid of that vertical...

Love the wood on the 6/47! And the fluting on the 243!!

Maybe you do have some aces up your sleeve...
