I would expect fairly stout recoil on the 7wsm with the heavy bullets I plan to shoot (I know opinions on what is stout varies greatly). I have no problem with recoil in general (I will admit I didn't care for shooting a 7 pound 338 Ultra mag), but I like to shoot....ALOT! Last month I fired 450 centerfire rounds, after 50 rounds with the 7wsm I think I might be a little sore. With the brake, I expect it won't kick much at all, and I have no problem with that! I'll definately be shooting it with out the brake as well.

I shoot 180's out of my 7rm and there loaded hot. It doesn't recoil heavily however I think after 50 rounds your shoulder would be sore.

For me, the purpose of a brake is to help me recover in time to spot my shots on game.

Never thought about that Len, very good point. I've never owned a rifle with a brake before. I usually turn the power down a bit so I have a larger FOV allowing me to watch impact more consistantly.

Love the rifle, sometimes I hate money, I cant get any of the things I want now, atleast for a while. I'd like to come shooting with you guys during this summer, I dont think I will have that rifle buy that time though I told you about, I would be willing to pitch in for some ammunition if you didnt mind me trying or shooting your rifles. I'd also like to try to see how my hunting rifle would do with a crappy scope

You're more than welcome to come out with us. You're certianly welcome to shoot my rifles, if you want to do a lots of shooting you could always pick up some 308 factory match ammo and have at it. I don't mind letting you shoot my ammo, but I can only load so much without my wife getting annoyed. I'll probably be shooting in eastern WA next weekend, so I'll let you know next time we'll be shooting on the west side. We hope to set up some specific courses of fire to practice for ISSC next year.
