WOW now that is an awesome story. Joe that thing is gorgeous, kinda makes me want to stick a blank in the attic for later!

    Are you kidding that stock is gorgeous. You did a fine thing there for your Dad. Great story and the pics do, do it justice...beautiful.

    If you new my dad the imperfections fit him to a tee, He is a little rough around the edges

    For storing wood question. When its dryed out and i think that is like 10% humidity you wax coat the ends to lock in the humidity. Mine got to dry due to not stored properly.

    How did your Dad react when you gave it to him? My dad and Grandpa are some of the toughest SOB's to walk the planet, and I'll bet they would have welled up.
