i get best velocity with rl 22. the 140 smk is best in mine but everything shoots very well.
mine is on a savage short action.

OK, Went to Jett's today and tried out the new toy. I was pleased with the results. It maintained 1/2 moa all the way out to 1000yds. I ended up with 67gr of Retumbo, .030 off the lands CCI 250 primers and 270 Norma wsm brass necked down to 6.5. The velocity checked out at 3150 fps. As always any gun I build for myself is for sale. How do you like the tactical turrets on the scope? Sightron just recently started producing those. I know their optics are great.
