Little Whitetail

I wouldn't call it a trophy but it's the biggest I've seen since the season opened.
Here is a pic of the whitetail I shot yesterday. He dropped just before I heard the bullet hit.

I'm still looking for his daddy I saw him 1 week before season opened but havn't seen him since(still looking).
Particulars
Win Model 70 Push Feed 7mm RM factory 26 in barrel, Hogue overmolded stock
Sightron 4x16x42 MD scope
162gr A-max 66gr H-4350( I foget the muzzle vel)
410 yds, not long range but not bad for offhand (cornstalks were too high to shoot prone).
I think this is the first deer I have ever shot that was not running, not counting the one I shot a few years ago after the first lunge when he took off.
In case you noticed there are no cornstalks where he is laying it's because I didn't have a camera with me when I shot him and took the pic. in the alfalfa field where I dressed him.

Did you take a 400 yard off-hand shot at his neck?

He was looking at me and that was the only shot presented.
I'll have to look again but I'm not 100% sure that what you see is the entrance wound I was thinking it was a little further back.
