Jerry:

Fantastic article and a great read. Now I've got someplace to point people if they have questions like I see come up on the board all of the time when they want to spend small bucks but want big results.

Fantastic information written in a way that is easy to read and easy to understand.

Keep up the good work and if you've got more similar stuff ...... get it written.

nice article my 2 favorite brands are Remington and the savage I'm going to try the the savage model 112 LP in 300 win mag it comes in 25/06 or 300 win mag 26 inch tube laminate stock should be a good foundation for a long range rig ill go with the 300

Great article.

I have started my long range project with a Savage 7mm STW and Millet 6X25X56 Milldot scope. I am working on loads that are accurate and once that is completed I will start working out to longer yardage. I am zeroing at 200 yards. I have about $750 in the project not counting ammo. With this action, I can switch to many different big bore barrels.

I really enjoyed your article. I have been thinking of building a Savage for a while now. Does Savage have an action that can safely handle the 338 Rum and Lapua? Do the barrel makers you mentioned chamber these calibers?

Thanks

Wade

re

Lots of good advice , and i couldnt agree more on the choice of the stevens 200 as the base for a solid long range hunting rig.
