I can't see shooting that thing as being very pleasant. Ear plugs are not optional I assume.
You are correct the recoil is excessive to say the least and no more effective on game than the standard 50 cal revolvers such as the 500 Linebaugh and 500 JRH. The 50 Alaskan revolver on the other hand makes for a nice conversation piece..
