Is there any way we can mitigate all these duplicate threads?
I have noticed more and more lately that threads, with the same questions keep poping up over and over. I was guilty of it to when I was a new member here and maybe it bothered some of you guys to at the time. I'm just wondering if as members we can start to encourage the use of the search button a little more? This round vs, this round etc
What do you guys think? Bad idea good idea? Len is this a good direction to go, or a road your not interested in?
It just seams like alot of the same thing over and over maybe no one else even cares

I tend to agree. The only thing I found was that the search facility is erratic and doesn't consistantly pull threads that I know exist from previous reads. I thought it was me at first but after numerous attempts, even in the advanced mode, I don't
think so. Others might be having the same issue..

Great point I forgot about that. I guess I learned to work around it but new members will not know the screen names.

The only issue with this site is the search button is not good I usually go to google and then it brings me back to this site with the information i was searching for.

So you like all the treads with the same questions that come up over and over again?

No not really but if the search button worked better new members would be able to find old post and not have to start a new one. Or maybe a similiar post would direct them to and older post on the same subject.

Re: Is there any way we can mitigate all these duplicate threads?
Would sub sections for each caliber help and make it easier to find what you are looking for.
A 22 Cal section
25 cal section
284 Cal section
30 Cal section
Maybee sections for powder questions primmer questions
Not sure if something like this would work or not might be to much to put together
I do agree its hard to find things with the search button sometimes.
I jus t go through the "new posts" everyday but im sure i miss things
