Do search in the forums for a thread regarding this issue. It's been discussed before. Lots of variables on your end and a few on the server's end. What browser, how much ram you have, how your cpu is configured as far as allocation of that ram, how much history has been saved by your browser, when you've emptied your cache last, etc.......
On the server's end, with 65,000+ members, it's bound to get bogged down once in awhile. Lots of ads to load (which pay for the site and keep it free to you and me!), and how your computer handles those various factors.
Other sites being relatively faster is not the best way to determine if another site is slow, but that's above my pay grade.
Again, search the forum for previous threads. I'm sure you'll find some answers that may help your viewing pleasure.
